Elephant’s Breath

Coated in classy hints of stone,

Swathed in palettes of petrified bone,

A style that spawned a million clones,

Keeping up with Mrs Jones,

Every drab shade ever known,

Enter the house of neutral tones!

Step into the hall where you will see

Minimalism to the nth degree,

You’ll wow your guests I’ll guarantee,

A muted scheme is often key

To a high-end tone for a property.

Paint colour: Crumbled Scree

Through to the dining room on the right,

Every knick-knack out of sight,

Picture this bathed in candle light -

The timeless grey offset by white!

A room to dull the appetite.

Paint colour:  Ammonite

The kitchen’s where they’ve blown their cash,

Soft-flow taps with minimal splash,

A brace of knives, ready to slash,

Hidden doors hiding the trash,

We call this style ‘low-key flash’.

Paint colour:  Wood Ash

An off-white carpet in the lounge of dreams,

Come in, come in, it’s worse than it seems!

The desolate shades are an endless theme,

Understated in the extreme,

It’s style that whimpers rather than screams.

Paint colour:  Boutique Cream

Our tour is over, you’ve had a sample

Of bland perfection – a fine example.

The neutral house where little shows,

With its neutral garden where little grows,

A home that’s brushed with shades of death.

Polished Pebble; Elephant’s Breath.
